Léo Géré
Data scientist
After completing a dual engineering degree in modeling and artificial intelligence, I pursued a PhD in the field of Music Information Retrieval. I aim to apply my skills in mathematics, computer science and artificial intelligence to projects that align with my values. In particular, I am committed to environmental issues and aspire to contribute to addressing the challenges of climate change (e.g. sustainable mobility, energy management, frugal AI). Passionate about music, I am also deeply interested in the development of new tools for musicians.

Experience

Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (Cnam) – Laboratoire Cédric
PhD in Computer Science
  • Leveraging musical structure in deep learning for symbolic music processing.
  • Training of models from the natural language processing domain (RNNs, Transformers) applied to musical data (music scores, MIDI).
  • Publication of two scientific articles at international conferences in the music domain (cf. Publications section).
  • Technical tools: Python, Pytorch.
  • Thesis to be published soon. Contact me for access in the meantime.
Institut national de recherche pour l’agriculture, l’alimentation et l’environnement (INRAe) – Laboratoire LIPME
Apprenticeship in bioinformatics
  • Apprenticeship as part of the ModIA dual‐degree program (cf. Education section).
  • Investigation of gene–trait associations in sunflower through machine/deep learning model interpretability methods.
  • Technical tools: Apache Spark, Scala, Python, Tensorflow.
